At the moment (2:37pm Eastern), voicemail transcription is broken on my account and those of my clients.
This is fairly regular problem at VOIP.MS. Here’s my topic for when it last happened 49 days ago:
Because the weekend looms, I suspect that this won’t get fixed until Monday, when the one person who knows the details of voicemail transcription has a chance to reboot the offending doohickey.
I can live without transcription, but the problem is compounded by this: when transcription is down, voicemail messages are not delivered by email. The messages are queued until after transcription is fixed (then they all go out at once).
And there’s no mention of the outage at https://status.voip.ms . This is also the usual case, and this constitutes a separate failure of management.
David Rouleau, I encourage you to finally make voicemail transcription bullet-proof. Its regular failure reflects poorly on VOIP.MS.
