I’m really looking forward to using MMS in a VOIP.MS app. On July 2 in this thread…
…the CEO of VOIP.MS, David Rouleau, said “Stay tuned for MMS!” (See image below.)
That was 7 weeks ago. Has anyone heard of any MMS developments since then?

Thanks for pinging me Zeta. What I meant is: it’s in the roadmap. There are some back-end upgrades we need to do before!
Okay, thank you. Fingers crossed.
M Rouleau,
I’ve been using your VOIP.ms platform for a few years now for voice lines, and as of a 6 months or so, your VOIP.MS Android app. I’ve also ported my 20+ year-old mobile phone number. But I am here questioning your (August 2025!) ‘roadmap’ features for SMS/MMS. I have now encountered several occasions where I am missing business opportunities because of missed group SMS’s (from clients and colleagues) and MMS’s. Is there an actual plan to support/fix this anytime soon? Like, before I start looking for another platform…in the ‘so close and yet so far’ category, this is very frustrating…merci.
ps. your support team has no answers to any of this…not even a carrot at the end of the proverbial stick.
Hi @planephil, thanks for tagging me. Totally fair feedback, and I understand the frustration.
I confirm that this has not been abandoned and remains something we will deliver. That said, I don’t want to give a fake “coming next month” answer just to put a carrot in front of people.
The aforementioned architecture upgrade is massive and is required before we can properly launch MMS support. It’s progressing well, but at the same time, we need to keep flying the “plane” for the 500,000+ users currently on the platform.
What I can say though is I’m aware this is a gap and I’m also aware it impacts usability. The goal is to do it properly and not ship something half-broken.
I also agree our support teams should have better talking points around roadmap visibility instead of “no answers”, that’s on me and I’ll take it internally.
Appreciate your loyalty and taking the time to call it out publicly.
Cheers,
David
Thanks, David, for the heads up. It is great. In addition to MMS, another thing that have often been mentioned in this forum is the issue of MMS delay of around 40 seconds. This is a basic function and the delays make users feel a product that is amateurish. This issue has been reported many time, hopefully it can be in the priority list of the development team.
