For your point now, the very first thing I always suggest to people with similar issues is to use the TLS connection along with SRTP (both must be configured at once) as all traffic will go through one simple crypted TCP connection and will most probably solve your problems. Save yourself a lot of trouble and go that route.

Be careful as you setup, every single detail is important for it to work. (Especially SRTP settings, often overlooked.) Check if you find instructions for you specific device.

You will need to adapt the instructions to your device (if it supports TLS and SRTP). A bit complex to setup, but it is worth it, as it solves most problems linked with network related issues.
