I appear to have gotten all the info right in the grandstream configuration page with help from voip chat, but under the status heading it reads not registered for both phones. Is it a matter of passwords? The chat person said he’d run a trace on it, but it came up empty because my adapter wouldn’t respond to their server. They said it had to be connected to a router but I don’t have one…my adapter is connected to an eight port Ethernet switch which is connected to a wall jack leading to a first floor router or a network of routers.
Hello @DPJohnson,
Have you tried to use a secure TLS connection with SRTP with voip.ms (if your device support it)? It might help you a lot if you do not know the network architecture.
Kind regards.
My Grandstream GXP1760 phone was working with VMS and Callcentric, but after making a slight change, both went unregistered. Re-entering config and firmware did not help. It took TWO factory resets to restore registration. However, my one local connection to my OBi which works UN-registered (1 OG service is shared with multiple phones) continued just fine. I recommend doing a total default reset on all accounts, restore config and if that doesn’t work, try factory resets.
