We are setting up a proof-of-concept for a local church. We started with two Comcast/Polycom VVX 310 phones. The MAC address based factory reset worked fine. They are working fine.
We then bought a pair of phones on Ebay. They are originally Ring Central. Apparently there are multiple layers of difficulty placed there by Ring Central to prevent their use on any other service.
The normal reset operations on the phone keypad do not appear to help. Or, maybe they temporarily do, but as soon as it connects to the internet, the bootloader restores the Ring Central settings.
It appears that refurbishers keep a copy of the original Polycom firmware from 2019 and trick it into loading that via TFTP. However, Polycom has eliminated those older downloads. Anybody got one that works with Ring Central on the VVX 310 or 311?

Neal
