I setup a Sub account and used DID for to that sub account.
I can make outgoing calls from the app, but cannot receive any incoming calls, when someone tried to call my DID number.
My sub account traffic is encrypted, using TLS/SRTP
Am I missing something in settings?![]()
Hi,
Did you check the following?
- Your sub-account registers to the same server that you chose as your POP for your DID
- Your sub-account has “Encrypted SIP Traffic” enabled in it
- Your client device (PBX, Phone, Softphone or ATA) has TLS enabled
- You are using SIP port 5061 (or 5081) to the VOIP.ms server
- Your DID has routing set to SIP/IAX and point to your sub-account. If you are using a Ring Group, Call hunting, IVR, Queue, etc. for your DID, try testing it with a simple SIP/IAX routing to make sure that the problem is not anywhere else in the inbound routing.
- You don’t have unknowingly enabled DND (Do Not Disturb) on your client device.
Is your softphone the official VOIP.ms app or another third party app?
Thanks @IntPlus
Most of the listed item are correct as per documented settings…
I tried and tested on Voip.ms app and another third party app. Both of them doesn’t show any incoming calls to the DID, from normal mobile or landline number. It’s strange and no clue what’s wrong.
@Sipcaller Have you tried with another software like MicroSIP on a PC with the same exact settings? If the PC app works fine, it means that the Android phone or app may be the issue.
Hello @Sipcaller,
Have you configured properly the Push Notification (push calls)? Have you tested it to be working?
Push notification helps a lot to avoid cases where your phone saves energy and then the app does not respond. The problem is on the phone. Push notification will make it work all the time.
Kind regards!
I tried everything and no luck making it to work.
I ordered a new DID and that new number is working perfect. There might have been an issue with the original number.
Thanks to everyone for your suggestions and help..![]()
