For a DISA, the PIN must be 4 digits. That’s really too short in a world with AI and automated tools.
I think that a DISA should allow a PIN of between 4 and 10 digits. That way, people can keep their current 4-digit PINs if they like, and other people can choose longer PINs. This change should be pretty easy for VOIP.MS to make.

The sheer amount of replies you got for Q1 is part of the answer you are looking for. Very few voip.ms subscribers come here. Then the vast majority who do are home users with basic setups. They have no idea what a DISA PIN is.
Keep complaining to voip.ms support about it. If this is a show stopper for you. Go to the competition that offers better upfront security.
I totally agree that 4 digits is not enough. When I was using it 15 years ago, I also felt uncomfortable with it because of that. (I was using it to make long distance phone calls from my “dumb” cellphone.)
Just a question: when you enter an incorrect PIN, does it hangup right away, or you can try many times? I do not remember.

I do not personally use the DISA feature, but I am familiar with what it is and how it works. Even so, I agree that with today’s security landscape, a 4‑digit PIN is far too short for anything exposed to the internet. The risk of brute‑forcing or guessing a code that small is simply too high.
Hopefully voip.ms will consider offering longer PIN options, because it would be a meaningful improvement for anyone who relies on DISA.
