Hi, need suggestion for how to setup for this scenario. DID will ring a cellphone first. If the cellphone isn’t answered then the call will Fail Over on No Answer and ring another cellphone. I don’t see a setting for what happens if no one answers the second cellphone. I want the call to go to voice mail.
I have the call going to voicemail if BUSY or NO CONNECTION.
Or maybe if the second cellphone isn’t answered, the call goes to voicemail? It’s not clear. The number is being ported so I don’t have it yet to test.
The configuration should be simple in this regard, the main route will forward the call into the 1st cellphone, the failover route will forward the call into the 2nd cellphone, and as long as the number does have a Voicemail associated this will be the last stop for the call. Take in account that forwarding to external would cause the cellphones VM to take the call, it this happens, you will require to adjust the ring time in seconds settings accordingly
Thanks William. Good point about the voicemail on the cellphone. I will test and set the number of rings, in voip.ms, to a number low enough so the fail over happens before the call goes to the first cellphone’s voicemail.
