Hello everyone. New VOIP.ms client. I’m stuck completing my setup because I cannot purchase any DLD numbers. I am trying to buy a local US, Florida number. Whenever I complete the settings and go to continue, I receive the error: “Invalid Rate Center INVERNESS for State FLORIDA (FL)”. The support materials, wiki, community posts and Google don’t have any info. It appears somewhere on my account there is a rate center of Inverness county for Canada creating a conflict. The online portal does not show any way to confirm, edit or see a “Rate Center”. Has anyone come across this or fixed it? Thank you for your suggestions.
Try looking for STARTS WITH areacode and so on.
Hi - Welcome to the club. I am in ST. Pete and I just went into surrounding communities that would have the same area code and picked two that I liked.

Thank you for the comments. The issue is on VOIP.ms’s end and is listed on their status page. It seems they have an issue with their number provider where you cannot order or get new numbers for various areas. The issue has been ongoing for over a week and they have provided no estimate of when it will be resolved. Essentially if you need a DID in an area that gives you the error, you are out of luck until they get around to fixing it. Given they are a VOIP trunk provider and registering new numbers is pretty critical the week plus delay is very frustrating and concerning.
I also couldn’t get any answers on why they could not manually register or assign numbers to an account as a workaround. Anyone joining the service be aware of this issue and expect that you may only be able to port numbers in until they fix things, depending on what area you need numbers in. My issue was with the 305 Miami area code listed for the keys area.
