I’ve had a number of SMSs come in as multiple emails with one short line per email. They don’t even seem to be in the correct order.
Do I have something configured wrong? Is there something I can do to correct this?

I asked this question of voip.ms support several years ago. The response was that voip.ms passes on the pieces of long sms in the order received and it’s the sending carrier that is responsible for the order of the parts. I don’t know if there is a resolution, I still get long sms in pieces out of order, but I can make out the message by context and which cut-off words go where. It’s a trade-off, this limitation on sms vs being able to text from anywhere you have wifi or a data connection. The other trade-off is not being able to do group texts.
Thanks… At least I know there is nothing I can do about it.
Not entirely true. If you use an android phone (not sure about iPhones) there is a free app called VoIP.SMS by Michael Kourlas that strings them together correctly. Turn off the Voip.ms email option if you want to stop feeling disjointed.
It sounds like you’re experiencing an issue where SMS messages are being forwarded to your email in a disjointed and unordered manner, with each email containing only a small part of the SMS. This can sometimes happen if your SMS-to-email forwarding settings or your email client are misconfigured.
Here are a few steps you can take to troubleshoot and fix the issue:
If none of these steps resolve the issue, it may be helpful to contact your SMS forwarding service or email provider for further troubleshooting.
