Does anyone know if the new voip.ms softphone is open source and whether it contains ad tracking analytics (like google firebase)? I try to stay away from closed-source apps and apps that have any ad-tracking in them due to privacy concerns. Is there any way to verify a lack of tracking analytics in the app?
I don’t know much about the new voip.ms softphone. But it does claim push notification, so firebase will be in there. I’m more familiar with Linphone. It is opensource. Also, the version available from F-Droid is free of any Google software. In initial testing, I found that it can do limited SMS directly via voip.ms.
