DND Feature on Grandstream Phones?

How does one enable the DND (Do Not Disturb) feature on a Grandstream 2612W that will be recognized by voip.ms so that calls are sent to voicemail instead of just a rapid busy?

I’m having the same trouble on the Grandstream HT802. There is a whole table of HT802 call features that do not work when the HT802 configured to the VOIP.MS specifications. *78 is enable do not disturb. When any (including this) one is pressed, a busy signal results.

@Bonnie_in_Virginia Are you saying that when you dial *78 you get a busy signal or after dialing the code callers get a busy signal instead of voicemail? Are inbound callers getting voicemail when you do not answer a call?

Further research … *78 is a feature of the Grandstream.

Make sure Call Features are enabled on the profile page (Yes or Enable All).

If you chose Yes make sure the DND feature is enabled and has the right code shown.

You should be able to dial *78 and hear a dialtone from your Grandstream.

If your callers are hearing a busy signal then we need to look at the voicemail settings for the DID.

Edit DID and click the Failover button at the right to expose the failover tabs. Select the “if Busy”, “if unreachable” and “if No Answer” tabs individually. Choose Voicemail and your voicemail box on the Busy tab and “DND” calls should go to voicemail.

Hi and thanks jl66. When we dial *78 on a handset to enable do not disturb, there is a pause and then there is a busy signal. This happens on most all of the HT802 features even though we have features enabled in the configuration.
