Change community.voip.ms password change

How do I change the community.voip.ms password, not the Portal password itself.

Click on your initial in the upper right (Notification and Account) and choose the “Profile” at the bottom of the list of icons on the right.

Then choose preferences (far right).

Then choose security (second from left).

Password reset is on that page.

Ok, i enabled 2fa in the preferences and downloaded the backup codes for the community.voip.ms domain.

I also enabled 2fa for the main VoipMs portal (Account Settings - Security) but I don’t see an option to download or generate the backup codes for 2fa

I received an message from noreply@voip.ms saying I was given 120 days to change my customer portal password. I never saw this notice until 18-aug-2025 and I already use 2FA for the customer portal. Did any of you get this message to force a password at any time ?

Yeah, on reddit someone made a similar post about this and many people said they received such a message. You can change it , its not a problem. Remember it might take 1-2 minutes for the change to take effect, so don’t try to log back in immediately.

I had to change my passwords because I was targeted by the LummaC2 stealer. Thankfully voip.ms asks for email confirmation from a new location/browser, even without 2FA enabled (I hadn’t even enabled 2FA), otherwise I would have been cooked

Did it force you to create a 15 alphanumeric password ?

15 character is a large length especially since it uses 2 factor authentication !

This change was initiated for all on March-2025
