Unable to Use Chat Widget

I am unable to use the voip chat widget. I use mullvadvpn. I can not use the chatapp even when I turn off ublock origin, turn off DNS blocking for ads and malware, and when I try different IP addresses. I have also tried multiple browsers.

I contacted voip.ms by ticket, and they said try another browser, but this isn’t helping and opening tickets is much slower than just chatting with them, which is usually fast.

Does anyone know what specifically is causing the chat widget to not load? Does it only load on Chrome, which I don’t use because I don’t like google’s monopolistic practices that are anti-privacy? Does it do an IP check or ping check to determine whether to allow the chat widget to open?

I tried changing the user-agent using an extension, which sometimes works with sites that won’t work on Chrome, it didn’t work, I tried more than one browser. I am really frustrated. If anyone has any ideas, please let me know.

I am especially frustrated because I’m having a technical issue (see thread Unable to Place Outgoing Calls, No Idea Why). I really dislike it when companies block vpns or block certain user agents or ping times and don’t tell the user, leaving them to just guess why the site isn’t working. If you block all vpns on chat, please just tell me. If you need a chrome useragent, please just tell me. If you are going to test the useragent specified against a javascript determination of the real useragent and it needs to be chrome, just tell me.

It seems like some companies, especially google, and other tech companies really want everything designed for chrome because it makes surveilance of users using javascript ad scripts much easier and so they do all these little things to make life harder if you use a non-Chrome or Chromium based browser or a VPN.
