Our BLF keys have been working for years. Now they no longer show as red when an extension is in use. They still work for dialing extensions and transferring calls. I’m not sure when it started because users may not have reported it immediately. No changes were made except some phones had firmware upgrades at some point, but the issue is with all phones. We changed from chicago2 to dallas2 and back again a few months ago because of a tech issue at voip.ms.
I’ve created two tickets in the voip.ms support to make sure that BLF is enabled for chicago2. Both times they just closed the issue without responding, so I assume this means it is chicago2.
Any other thoughts?
Oh, and also I took three of the phones to my office and tried a few things (like unique sip TLS ports). Just on an odd thought, I changed them to dallas2 they started working, but they quit working the next day. This was the same time I had put in the support ticket to make sure chicago2 was our BLF server, so I thought awesome, everything will work now on chicago2, but not so. No phones work.
Hi. Have you figured out a fix for this? Have a very simillar issue with GXP 1630 phones. Works for half a day if moving the accounts and DID to a different server, then stops working again. Have tried back-reving firmware also, to no avail. Changing BLF target to newly created sub-account, to no avail. Seems server-side, but support says it’s not (and no other customers having similar issue, which makes me thing it’s networking at the site, or something network related, but all settings are fine, and why would it work for 1/2 day, then stop?).
No, ours all started working one day out of the blue and have worked since. Our networks are super simple, like your basic home home network. We have multiple ISP’s in different buildings and since they all started working at once, it’s not the ISP or the router. So bottom line is that voip.ms fixed something whether they know it or not.
All I can say is make sure that all your phones are on the same server and make sure that voip.ms has enabled BLF for you on that server.
