# VOIP.ms authentication for Airbnb account?

Is there anyway to use VOIP.ms for an Airbnb account?

Our numbers can be utilized for public contact and communication on your AirBnB page. However, we kindly advise that for SMS verification purposes,

At this time we **cannot guarantee**  **that Short Code SMS Messages** , which are usually 6 digits or less _(e.g.: Skype, Bank Codes, TV Commercials etc…)_

will work. At this time we **cannot guarantee**  **that 2FA SMS Messages** , which are usually to confirm your identity and log into your service portal _(e.g.: Microsoft, among other providers offering this feature)_ will work.

I tried using a VOIP number for an Airbnb account once, and while it worked fine for public contact, I ran into issues with SMS verification for 2FA. I found that short code messages (like the ones used for security codes) didn’t always come through.

Hi William:

I’ve put in a feature request to ask about getting this supported. I’m trying to move my mobile phone services over to VoIP and this is a bit of an inconvenience. Any thoughts on where this ranks on the roadmap??
