Is there a centralized beta feedback location? On the current version for Android 0.0.6 build 2334721, CI 255162 When you have multiple accounts, the app does not separate out data (e.g. call history) by account. It just shows all history for all accounts no matter which one you currently have selected. Nor does it make it obvious which account is taking an incoming call when you get a call. It appears that selecting the account ONLY changes the choice of outgoing account, but does not affect anything in the UI. this is very confusing. For comparison: in Linphone 6, they’ve separated out everything per account. You only see the call history and text messages for the currently selected account, and when you select another account it changes to show that account’s call history and messages. This makes much more sense. The incoming call UI should also clearly indicate which account is being called since different accounts could be used for different purposes and it’s useful for the user to know before answering. This is a time-limited screen so this needs to be obvious at a glance. ---

Is there a way to obtain the softphone app legitimately without the google play store? I have a degoogled android phone and won’t be adding google just for this. Any help is appreciated. thank you ---

Hello @mstewart14, I never tried it, but it seems you can download the “Aurora Store” from F-Droid, and from it browse the full catalog of Play Store. So you could theoretically download the app by this means. There might be other solutions, but I heard of that one when playing around with GrapheneOS. (I liked it, but would not work with my AdGuard + AdGuard VPN setup. This was a bummer for me.) I hope this help; kind regards! ---

Watching this thread because I am also interested in seeing the soft phone come to F-Droid. This would require releasing the source code for the soft phone under a permissive license. Hopefully this can happen someday! ---

Hello @edisondotme, This will probably never happen because the app is based on Acrobits Softphone (Groundwire) SDK. This is proprietary technology and they allow telecom providers to white-label their softphone platform. A very nice and solid offering. I did download Voip.ms android app version 0.0.6 from outside Google Play it resuses to run by design. Every time I launch it and Google Play is running, I get redirected to Google Play with the message “Get this app from Play. To continue using Voip.ms Softphone, get it on Google Play”. If Google Play is not running, I get “Something went wrong. Check that Google Play is enabled on your device and that your’re using an up-to-date version before opening the app. If the problem persists try reinstalling the app.”. So this app is explicitly coded to test for Google Play and will not launch without it by design. ---

And it appears that there is _no way_ to determine which account a history entry is associated with. Even looking at the entry details does not say which account it was made or received through. So it’s impossible to tell which account a missed call was for. ---

If you use Linphone, it has a simple pull down from the upper left to select account. Each account has it’s own history. The Linphone app is available via F-Droid. The version on F-Droid does not have push notification. So, no need for Google Play. Doesn’t make calls on WiFi for me, works on mobile data. I see a setting in the app for NAT Traversal but choosing it gives a " Unable to load form ‘natTraversal’ "
